I'm organizing a weekend hiking group — who's in?

Okay so I've been hiking solo around Shanghai on weekends and it's fine but kind of lonely. Thinking of organizing a small group.

The idea:
• Once a month, Saturday or Sunday
• Day hikes within 2 hours of Shanghai
• Moderate difficulty (3–5 hours, not Everest)
• Mix of Chinese and foreign hikers
• Split transport costs
• Lunch at a local restaurant after

Potential spots:
• Moganshan (bamboo forests, old villas)
• Huangshan (longer trip, maybe 2 days)
• Xitang water town (easy, mostly walking)
• Various trails around Hangzhou

What you'd need:
• Decent shoes (not running shoes, actual hiking shoes)
• Water and snacks
• Basic fitness level
• WeChat for coordination

Why I'm posting here:
Testing interest before I put effort into organizing. If 5+ people are genuinely interested I'll create a WeChat group and plan the first one for next month.

If you're in Shanghai and want to get out of the city on weekends, drop a comment.

If this already exists and I'm reinventing the wheel, please point me to the existing group!
