Public Hospitals (三甲):
• Most affordable but crowded
• English availability varies greatly
• Bring a translator app or friend
• Example: Peking Union, Ruijin Hospital, Xijing Hospital

• English-speaking staff, Western standards
• Much more expensive (2–5x public hospital prices)
• Direct billing with international insurance
• Examples: ParkwayHealth, United Family, Oasis

VIP/Foreigner Clinics in Public Hospitals:
• Middle ground — better service than public, cheaper than international
• Often have English-speaking nurses

Health Insurance Options
Employer-provided: Check coverage limits and network hospitals
International private insurance: Cigna, Bupa, Allianz — cover international hospitals
