Shanghai vs Beijing vs Guangzhou airport lounges — the honest breakdown
I've tried Priority Pass lounges at all three. Unfiltered truth.Beijing Capital:
• 1990s chairs. Actually uncomfortable.
• Food: instant noodles, dry buns, concentrate juice
• No shower. Standing room only.
Verdict: Skip it.
Shanghai Pudong:
• Slightly better. Actual hot food.
• Less crowded.
Verdict: Tolerable.
Guangzhou Baiyun:
• Small but clean.
• Decent dim sum.
• Manageable crowds.
Verdict: Best of the three.
The real secret: Domestic airline lounges (Air China, China Eastern) are WAY better. If you have status, use those.
Otherwise: find a restaurant. Better food, better vibe, no fight for power outlets.
