Water Treatment Control is the best first stop for Motors in Arc Raiders-not because every raid hands one to you, but because the location gives you the most useful searches in the least time. The facility mixes technical rooms, red lockers, loose loot, and nearby vehicles, so checking the area also helps you build a broader stash through the ARC Raiders Items pool. That flexibility matters more than chasing a single supposedly perfect spawn.

The Water Treatment Control Route

Start inside the main control and treatment buildings. Check chairs, desks, shelves, consoles, equipment edges, and rooms near restricted access points before stepping outside. Motors can appear as loose loot, which makes a quick glance through the room less reliable than a deliberate sweep. After that, open red lockers and nearby containers, then move around the facility to inspect cars, trucks, and buses-especially engine compartments.

Clear technical rooms before crossing into exposed streets.
Check loose loot beside machinery instead of focusing only on containers.
Search grouped vehicles near the facility, not isolated cars far away.
Leave once you have the Motor needed for your upgrade and a safe extraction path.

Best Alternatives by Map

Primary Facility on Dam Battlegrounds is my second choice, particularly around the shipping containers and pull-out storage trays. Spaceport gives you Vehicle Maintenance first, followed by Container Storage and then Shipping Warehouse if the route stays quiet. Blue Gate works well for a vehicle-focused sweep around Checkpoint and the underground roads, while Buried City's parking garage packs many cars into a tighter footprint than its highway route.

A Quick Route Comparison

Location
Best Feature
Main Risk
Water Treatment Control
Rooms, lockers, and vehicles together
Exposure after leaving the buildings
Primary Facility
Dense shipping containers
Player traffic around the rows
Vehicle Maintenance
Repair bays and vehicle compartments
Spaceport competition
Buried City Garage
Many vehicles in one structure
Longer route to extraction
Stella Montis Sandbox
Industrial storage and machinery
Heavy ARC pressure
Do Motors Have a Fixed Spawn

From what I've seen, players get better results by treating Motor locations as high-value loot clusters rather than fixed points. A chair inside Water Treatment Control may hold one run, while a vehicle or locker supplies it in another. That variation is why searching only car hoods produces frustrating empty raids. Clear several nearby sources, then make a decision based on sound cues, ARC activity, and your distance from extraction.

The Mistake That Wastes the Most Raids

Most failed Motor runs aren't caused by poor luck alone; they start with an overlong route. A player finds nothing at the first building, crosses half the map for two more vehicles, then loses a full load before reaching safety. Keep your inventory open for the target, carry enough gear to handle a short fight, and treat extra workshop materials as a bonus rather than a reason to stay. At least in my experience, a compact loop repeated across several raids beats one greedy cross-map sweep.

My Practical Verdict

Use Water Treatment Control when you want the strongest all-purpose Motor route, Primary Facility when containers are your priority, and Vehicle Maintenance when Spaceport gives you a clean spawn. Blue Gate and Buried City are solid backups, while Stella Montis suits players who already know its threats. Search industrial spaces with a simple rule: rooms first, grouped vehicles second, extraction third. That rhythm keeps the grind focused, and keeping a little room in your loadout makes it easier to secure cheap ARC Raiders Items without turning one Motor into an all-or-nothing raid.
